Science And Technology Park

Doha, Qatar

Located on the North Campus of Education City

The sprawling Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP) is located on the North Campus of Education City and is a home for international technology companies in Qatar, and an incubator of start-up technology businesses. Inaugurated in March 2009 as a part of Qatar Foundation, the purpose of the science park is to spur development of Qatar’s knowledge economy with focus on energy, the environment, health sciences and communications.

Members of QSTP include incubator start-up companies, international corporations, and research institutes, all of whom have committed to fund ventures, create intellectual property, enhance technology management skills and develop innovative products in line with the scientific and research objectives outlined in Qatar’s National Vision 2030. QSTP aims to spearhead and develop a post- carbon Qatar economy by encouraging companies and institutes from around the world to develop and commercialize their technology in Qatar. QSTP is the only science park in the Middle East that shares a campus with top international universities. It had its launch in 2008.

KEO as the PMC, worked closely with Qatar Foundation, QSTP Management, Multi-National Corporations and with the architects, engineers, and specialist consultants from inception of its master plan to handing over. As PMC we were drivers in formulating an agreed program thereafter managing the entire design team, conducting comprehensive design reviews until issuance of multiple tender documentation while also coordinating with all stakeholders. KEO’s role continued into construction as Engineer, managing budget, schedule, and quality.

Finally, KEO continued to support the facility management operations in the handing over of this major facility, partnering with them and tenants in the commissioning of the facility.
