CHRISTIAN MILLAR
Managing Director, Sustainability & Environmental Services Division
Christian is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Waste Management (MCIWM) with over 16 years’ experience, 10 of which have been based in the Middle East. In his role as Director of Sustainability and Environmental Services, Christian is responsible for the operation of the entire KEO business unit, which includes sustainability, environmental and waste services. Christian has been working for KEO since 2013, joining as a Principle Consultant prior to being promoted to Regional Environmental Manager in 2015 and recently to Director of Sustainability and Environmental Services in 2018.
During Christian’s tenure with KEO, he has established a reputation for developing arguably the strongest locally based waste consultancy team currently operating within the Middle East. Christian has consistently demonstrated his effectiveness in challenging and complex operations. His expertise extends into pollution prevention and control applications, solid waste strategies, asbestos surveying and construction quality assurance engineering of waste infrastructure. He has a reputation for the thoroughness of his environmental assessment and compliance auditing, as well as for his delivery of comprehensive waste and environmental planning studies and his ground investigation skills and experience. Christian has a well-established record in site supervision, is an articulate and cogent presenter of complex plans and an accomplished author of technical and regulatory documentation. He is a Consultant of outstanding quality and energy in a specialist field of increasing importance to KEO, the region and to our clients.
Prior to joining KEO, Christian held a position with a major international consulting firm as Principle Consultant responsible for growing the waste and compliance auditing business and he has also worked as a Senior Environmental Consultant with Parsons Brinkerhoff, both in the Middle East.
Christian holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental and Waste Management from Glasgow Caledonian University and Bachelor’s Degree in Geography and Geology from Glasgow University in Scotland.
